Baby Boomer Reunion Concert Returns to First State Community Center

Performances July 31 & August 1

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Baby Boomer Reunion Concert Returns to First State Community Center

Farmington, Missouri (June 26, 2026) – The Baby Boomer Reunion Concert lights up the First State Community Center stage for the twenty-fourth straight year during the upcoming weekend of July 31st and August 1st.

As always, the production features fifty outstanding musicians from all styles and backgrounds who come together for one weekend each year to recreate the greatest popular music ever recorded. This live concert experience ushers back wonderful song remembrances from the thirty-year Baby Boomer era of 1955 (the first year of the pop charts) up through 1984. All performers in the production have local ties to the region, either living here now or having grown up in the surrounding area.

Throughout the concert, the detail to the sound and presentation of the music is given the all-star treatment as the musicians switch in and out in various combinations on each and every song. Since this year is the 250th celebration of our country (Semiquincentennial), all of the songs will come from the Baby Boomer Bicentennial year of 1976.

One of the attractions that comes with the tradition of the Baby Boomer Concert is to incorporate a wide variety of musical styles into the foundation of the show. This year’s line-up is no exception with 1976 providing some of the greatest hits of all time from all of the various pop music charts. To demonstrate those extremes in musical styles, here are just a few of the artists whose music will be featured: Boston, Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Abba, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Hall and Oates, Heart, Billy Joel, Kenny Loggins, Barry Manilow, Queen and many more.

One very important note: All songs will be recreated on stage in the same manner that they would have been performed when originally released by each artist and not as cover tunes (this requirement is what sets this show apart from all others, year after year).

The Baby Boomer Reunion Concert came into existence twenty-four years ago in August 2003, as the inaugural production for the opening of the Farmington Centene Center (First State Community Center). This concert was created as a “gift to the community” and has grown from one show that was one-third full to three annual, sold-out performances since that very first day (sold out = 730 seats).

The performances for this year’s show will be held on Friday and Saturday nights (July 31st and August 1st), beginning at 7:00 pm each evening, and also at 1:00 pm, Saturday afternoon (August 1st) with the ever-popular, full-show matinee.

Tickets will go on sale for all three shows beginning Wednesday, July 1st at the Farmington Civic Center. The first three hours of that day (8:00 am – 11:00 am) will be devoted only to those who show up to purchase their tickets in person at the First State Community Center lobby. Any time after 11:00am on July 1st through the performance date, tickets can be acquired at the Civic Center front desk or ordered by phone at (573) 756-0900. All tickets for all shows are reserved and are still held fast at $15.00 each. No other community does anything that is this unique, entertaining, and fun. Don’t miss it!
