Bicycle Struck by Vehicle on June 12, 2026

Cyclist Accident on Perrine Road


Farmington, Missouri (June 15, 2026) - One June 12, 2026, at approximately 6:42am, officers and EMS personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Perrine Road and Air Park Drive in reference to a traffic crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist.


The investigation determined that Jacob Donze of Farmington was operating a bicycle westbound on Perrine Road. Dustin Austell of Bonne Terre was operating a 2025 Chevrolet eastbound on Perrine Road. Austell attempted to make a left turn onto Air Park Drive and failed to yield the right-of-way to the westbound bicyclist.


As a result, the bicycle was struck by the Chevrolet, causing Donze to be thrown from the bicycle. Donze sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance from the scene to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.


The crash remains under investigation.
